Ranger". Nice day, high near 65, clear. |

battlefield. Saw a big Multi-media production by the Park Association, not
very good. Then drove to the park section on top of Lookout Mountain.
Beautiful views and a painting of the battle, 30 feet by 60 feet. Then to
Russel cave Ntl. Historic site where indians lived as far back as 5000 years
ago. Black tank clean out leaks. |

the RV dealer and bought a back flow valve, switches for the rear levelers and
a 50 foot extension cord. Then a drive to Kennesaw Mountain Ntl. Battlefield,
where a major turning point in the battle for Atlanta occurred. We had server
thunder storms and a tornado nearby.
But we came through with no damage. Oil changed in truck. |

desert of the last few days has been green and lots of flowers. Had lunch at
Frank Harrell Rest Area. |

miles today. Still hot. We are experiencing problems with the trailer. Things
are braking down. The weather station went bad today, and the rear jack which
is broken somehow got lowered and won't go back up. Will pull out the crank
tomorrow. |

Another long drive. Stoped in
Grand Forks ND and walked a mall. This is the 3rd most expencive public park
we have ever stayed in, plesent though. We had another noise in the truck,
finally decided it was a rock in the wheel. This park is at the site of the
begning of the Mississippi River. Later we walked across the headwaters at
lake Itasca. |

Ford dealer, had the fan cluch replaced. Frank installed new switches over

This morning we did laundry
then went to look at a statue of Paul Bunyon and Babe the blue ox. We made a
wrong turn on US 71 but only went about 7 miles out of our way. After setting
up here drove to the Voyagers Ntl. Park visitor center but only had about 20
minutes so will go back tomorrow morning. Rain today, lots of misquitoes.

This is a terible campground
concerding the cost, $21. The cable doesn't work and it is very difficult to
get into the site, and our site was the longest one around. This morning we
went back to the visitor center and looked at the musuem. Very good. the
mosquitoes and black flys are horrendous. |

another accident with the refridgerator. Very bumpy road, it took Tom about

This morning we drove up to
Grand Portage adn visited Grand Portage Ntl. Monument, a reconstructed
trading fort of the North Western Company. We couldn't go to Isle Royal
because that is an all day or more boat ride and didn't have the time. |

Apostle Islands Ntl. Seashore visitor center. This is a very nice park

We went into Picture Rocks
Ntl. Lakeshore this morning. Walked to Munisung falls, beautiful, then to
park headquarters and a maritime trail exibit. We decided to push longer to
stay in this park. Just after putting the money in the campground slot, Frank
discovered the other park campground has electric hookups. Oh well, next
time. |

This morning we all drove to
Campgin World and got a new vent cover for kitchen, new 50 foot hose, and a
30 amp outlet for Pat's basement. Frank installed the outlet now we have a
perminant outlet here. Later we went to Swinsons for lunch then to Brad's for
a visit. Got the big computer working
again, seems to be a loose connection. |

drove around Akron looking at the sights. Later The entire family came over
for lunch of Belgrades chicken. Then took pat to Builders Square, bought her
a new dining room lamp and installed it. |

We left early and took the
trailer to the frame alighment shop. The shop set the left side to +?? and
the right side to +??. Then to the tire shop for 4 new tires on the trailer
and 2 new rear tires on the truck. Trailer milage for frame work was 57751 and
new tires was 577756 Had lunch at swinsons & dumped tanks at an RV dealer. Tonight is # 900 in the
trail |

striped the trailer toung of parts and sanded and painted it. Some problems

100. Finished up the toung work, rewired fuse box, trailer hookup, and got
O-3 gauge wire connected to the inverter, works much better. Tom took truck
to Hairsonburg to get oil, transmission, and diff changed. Problem with transmission
slipping, will take it back tomorrow. |

Still more heat and humidity.
Took the truck back to Jiffy Lube in Harrisonburg, they drained the
transmission, and replaced the filter, whatever was wrong is corrected.
Pulled wire through traffic sensor for curt, he will burry it this week. Curt
& Ellie had us over for dinner tonight. This is the last night of our 3 month 1993 trip. |
