A middle of the road notebook camera from Logitech, this is a good choice for those wanting something better than the low priced units but far below Logitech's high end QC Pro for notebooks.

This camera performed well during testing, being able to deal with a wide range of bright lighting conditions. It handled the snow scene out my window very well, but became a bit fuzzy when working at night with just room lighting. I have to admit I was testing this camera at the same time as the vastly superior QC Orbit AF so that probably is affecting my judgement.

My only two complaints are that in room lighting the picture is just a bit muddy and dark, with poorer contrast. Secondly in bright light conditions the contrast is good but my picture became just a bit grainy.

It comes with a rather nice zippered carrying bag that has a rather odd orange tab sticking out the side opposite the zipper. I'm not sure what that is for unless it helps you find it in amongst all the other small black carrying bags inside your notebook backpack. Or maybe just a design item to make it different. The mount is quite well designed and clamps over all my notebook screens. It is the same rounded clamp as the high end QC Pro for Notebooks, so if you have both you could use the stand that comes the Deluxe, but not sure why anyone would want to use this camera if they had the Deluxe.

I think Logitech has done a good job of dividing up their price structure among the various models. Want an excellent image, get the high priced model. On a very limited budget get the low end model. With Logitech, you get what you pay for.

I recommend this camera for those who are just getting into webcams and want to do better than the low end cameras, but are not willing to, or can't, put up the bucks for the super models.
