This is a newer camera which looks very much like the QuickCam Chat. This one is gray (or silver) and black and it's stand has 2 hinges. The Chat camera only has one hinge and is dark blue and white.

Lower quality webcam that should work well for general IM chats. Does well in very low lighting and reasonable in very bright light.

The image is a bit blotchy or grainy, but again, what can one expect for $30.

Color is a bit off but at less than $30 I can't complain. This camera is not UVC so you must install the drivers.

My box doesn't have the Windows Vista certified logo but looking at Microsoft's website it would appear that the later versions seem to be Vista certified.

I like the mounting system which has 2 flip tongs which should make this camera stable on just about any monitor or desktop.

My primary complaint is the focus ring is very smooth witch makes it difficult to turn.
