IBM 33L4889, Purchased Summer 2002, $30

This is a small inexpensive camera which I believe may have been the same model frequently given away along with various Internet provider promo specials between 1999 and 2002. It has the poorest image quality of all the cameras I have tried. We purchased this one at a Wal-Mart store for $29.95 while looking for a cheep camera, to use at my friend's farm.

It appears that the electronics may have been made by Veo, since the computer seems to identify it as a Veo device. This is another camera not to loose the driver disk for. My friend got a new computer and he had lost the driver disk so I got the camera. I tryed installing a driver I found on the Internet, afterwhich the computer couldn't even identify the camera much less make it work. I ended up using the "Windows Update" option during the "search for a driver" on installation, that seamed to work.

The focus ring is short, tight and very dificult to adjust. At least it stays in place.
