It has come to my attention that Logitech has been deceptively marketing these 3 cameras.

I don't want to knock the cameras themselves which are quite good. In fact I originally rated the Notebook Deluxe as having the best image for a portable, (since replaced by the Creative Live Ultra for Notebooks) the Communicate STX is a great camera for a fixed focus model and the Notebook has the only mounting bracket on a portable, which tilts as well as rotates side to side.

My complaint:
The front of the packaging of the cameras I purchased in late March and early April 2005, listed the cameras as USB 2. These cameras are not USB 2 models, they are USB 1 and will work with USB 2.

Apparently someone has cracked down on Logitech because their website now contains the following graphic which, if read quickly, still appears to indicate USB 2. Look closely and you will see the word "Compatible" in small lettering in the center of the graphic.

As a matter of standard, all USB 1 products are USB 2 compatible and all USB 2 products will work in USB 1 ports.

I consider Logitech to be one of the best peripheral company's around, I just think they need to clean up their marketing department.
