A good little camera for the price. While the quality doesn't come anywhere near the high end cameras, for $30 this is a very good choice. It has good sensitivity in low light, and remains relatively sharp. In my initial low light testing there were a lot of horizontal lines, but again for the price, it's acceptable. When the camera is first plugged in, the software will take you through a test to look for lines or flickering. Make sure you look at this carefully. Once you click the continue button, there is apparently no way to change your choice. At least I havn't been able to find one yet.
During the install process, you are asked whether you want to register the camera. If you chose skip, the registration process precedes anyway. You can cancel on a later screen, but that is a bit frustrating.
On my setup I find that there are occasional black periods where the camera has no picture. In my tests this occurred about once every 3 or 4 minutes and lasted around 10 seconds.
Overall this is a pretty good choice if your budget is limited.
