Got plenty of rain
The grass is growin taller
The river is rollin along
The cattle are fat
The calves lookin good
Just layin round waitin for fall

As I ride out
On the point of a mesa
I survey all the beauty below
An eagle screams down
To his friends on the ground
Its time to be beddin down

That ol' setting sun
Paints Its colors on the mesa
And on the river canyon wall
From somewhere far away
The coyote calls its mate
Its time to be headin home

The moons shinin bright
On the old canadian
As I jog down the canyon for home
I'm lonely but free
Just my pony and me
