Copyright information

The beginnings of my horse breeds section came from a very old (1993) CD entitled "101 Horse Breeds". That company obtained its information from various horse facilities but especially from the Kentucky Horse Park. I might mention that this CD came out before the Kentucky Horse Park had a website, and in fact only 2 years after the WWW was invented.

The company who relaced the CD has been long out of business and it would appear that no other company has taken the copyright of the original product. As such I felt free to repost the information on my website.

The site has grown far beyond the original set of horses (I actually only used 15 breeds on the first version of this site) and the information and photos have come from many other sources and websites. Where possible I have indicated the source of each page.

Since I do not own the material I can not officially give you permission to resue it. I did however, spend a great deal of time typing the content, formatting the information and hand coding the pages. So if you do reuse some of this content, please give me credit as your source with a link to my website.

The other thing I ask is that you do not use all of my work as a filler for you site (like one person did, which I had shut down for infringement). You may use portions of this site without asking, but not all of it unless I give you spicific permission. I spent many months researching, assembling information, hand coding and building this section of my site and I would like to have credit for that work.
