He joined the Navy after high school and sailed in the Pacific during the early 1950s. He viewed the explosion of the H-bomb in the pacific from 300 miles away. Went to college while raising a family and joined Dupont as an engineer. Travelled with the company to places including Ohio and West Germany until he settled near Nashville Tenn. Except for a short period of living in Seaford Del. in the late 1980s, he remained in the general area of Hendersonville, Tenn.
